How we can help you

Pupil Welfare – how we can help you

The health, safety and well-being of every child in our school is of paramount importance to us. Our aim is that children enjoy & achieve in their time as pupils at this school. Whilst we would never claim to get it right all the time, we are proud of the fact that Ofsted has, on successive occasions, validated the quality of our pupil welfare & safeguarding provision

Equally, we value your affirmation and truly appreciate your continuing endorsement of the care & support that we provide your children.

Who should I talk to if I have concerns?

Carolyn Power - Designated Safeguarding Lead*

Zoe Mitchell - Deputy for DSL (in the absence of the DSL)

Alison Eva - Cover for DSL (in the absence of both above)

Robert Hurrell - Designated Safeguarding Governor^

Canon Andrew Stevenson - Whistleblowing Governor

Carolyn Power - Designated Teacher for Children in Care

*The DSL is also the Single Point of Contact for the Prevent Agenda, Female Genital Mutilation and Child Sexual Exploitation, likewise with the DSG.

All these members of staff are available to meet with any parent or carer who may have a welfare concern of any kind. We pride ourselves on being approachable and are happy to discuss any concern with parents, no matter how big or small.

We would also like to remind you that your child’s class teacher is always available to speak with you about any concerns and the teacher can, with your agreement, then share this information with DSL/DDSLs

Members of the public can also contact the MARU (Multi Agency Referral Unit) about concerns or requests for support on;
